Summer Student Marketing & Field Research Assistant

As a Marketing & Field Research Assistant, you will spend your days interacting with growers and Agronomic Technical Consultants (ATCs), providing them your assistance to help collect data in the field and turn it into content. You will exercise your organizational skills on a daily basis as you travel around the province providing support in the field and at events. You will be responsible for assisting with establishing, maintaining, and evaluating field demonstrations in Saskatchewan for the purpose of delivering quality research data for our valued Clients. If you love working independently and as a team, this job is for you. You will work closely with management and others on the team.  

As a Marketing & Field Research Assistant you will be able to: 

  • Work outdoors 
  • Take on responsibility for a program of demonstrations as part of a team 
  • Travel during working hours within the province of Saskatchewan 
  • Attend agriculture trade shows 
  • Grow personally and professionally 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with field demonstrations 
  • Collect observations and data points working with the Product Manager and Agronomic Technical Consultants across Saskatchewan 
  • Distribution and set up of flags, signs, and other materials/resources needed for proper capture and documentation of demonstrations 
  • Data analysis and summary 
  • Assist with marketing content collection 
  • Demonstration observation and results documentation. Support ATCs in following up results from specific sales. Report these findings. 
  • Collection of drone, photo, and video footage 
  • Attendance and support during field tours/events/Ag in Motion 
  • Employee and client interviews/testimonials/etc. 
  • Assist with event execution (Field tours, grower and retailer events, Ag in Motion) 
  • Transport/set up/take down of materials 
  • Assist the Marketing Lead and Product Manager throughout events where needed 

The Right Person:

  • Is self-driven and independent but also works well in a team 
  • Has awesome people skills, a great personality, is persuasive and has a competitive spirit 
  • Has exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Ask questions to clarity and understand and follow protocols, procedures, situations 
  • Problem solving and critical thinking 
  • Is working towards a degree/certificate in agriculture related field of study 
  • Has at least 2 years’ experience in agriculture (i.e. farming and/or agronomy)  
  • Is proficient in Microsoft 365 suite and client management software (CRM) 
  • Photography/videography ability is an asset 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license 

Work Environment:

  • Work location is flexible within the province. 
  • We are remote based company, allowing you to conduct administrative work from the comfort of your home. Although we are remote first, we are always able to collaborate and help each other out through different channels 
  • Up to 80% (4.5-5 days a week) travel within territory and occasional overnight travel is required 
  • Weekend availability 
  • Indoor and outdoor conditions 
  • Ability to purchase business related items to conduct business and expense weekly for reimbursement 
  • Driving conditions: spring and summer
